Little to add here. Drugs are it, when it comes to Afghanistan. NATO obviously can´t help the Russian fight the drug trade because the drugs from Afghanistan are washed through Wall Street. That´s a $100 billion business. US and UK generals who refuse to fights the drug lords alleging that the eradication leads poor farmers into the hands of the Taliban are lying. $100 billion drug trade buys a lot of arms which the Taliban use to kill US and allied combatants. But then again, if you are David Rockefeller and company, who cares about “canon fodder” when we are dealing with record profits, right? Please understand, drugs are a leading lubricant of the world economy.

Russian general: NATO no help in fighting Afghan narcotics trade

Moscow – NATO has refused to cooperate with Russia’s government in fighting drug trafficking from Afghanistan despite promising to do just that, a senior Kremlin official said on Friday.
‘The cooperation is unproductive. Formally it exists but as a practical matter we see that what they (NATO nations) say is very different from what they do,’ said Viktor Ivanov, director of Russia’s federal service for the control of drug trafficking.
