Hace más de año y medio dije en Russia Today que las probabilidades de Victor BOUT de salir vivo de la encrucijada era nulas. Que lo iban a extraditar a EEUU, imputar, juzgar y condenar por crímenes que nunca cometió. Con el veredicto del jueves, se prueba que desafortunadamente, tenía razón.

Aún estoy esperando que cuelguen mi entrevista de ayer en RT. Dije cosas muy fuertes, como por ejemplo, hice un llamamiento a Putin para secuestrar a los ciudadanos norteamericanos y miembros del gobierno con vínculos a la industria armamentística y juzgarles en los tribunales rusos.

Un íntimo amigo y uno de los penalistas más importantes de los EEUU, Barry Bachrach que defendió a James Earl Ray (supuesto asesino de Martin Luther King) 20 años después de su condena me puso el siguiente mensaje después de conocer la condena:

“The final act today was anti-climactic. This end was expected. The script was written long before the meeting occurred in the Bangkok Hotel in Thailand. Everyone played their roles to perfection. Misinformation triumphed. Those armed with the truth and those intent on exposing the truth were ignored, shoved aside, and alienated. In the end, Victor stood alone, unprotected. Was that his choice? Or, did everyone play their roles so well that Victor did not realize he would never get justice. Today, was no surprise. The judge had little to no discretion but to impose the sentence handed down. The sentencing guidelines required today’s result. So, what happens from here. Unless, Victor decides to let those who know the truth and those who want to expose the truth into the play and attempt to rewrite it, the final chapter has already been written. The “Merchant of Death” has been sentenced to 25 years. The director is happy with that and will not permit any changes to the cast. They have taken their final bow, and now move on to finish other stories which have been scripted.”

A propósito, Barry humilló al gobierno americano en aquel juicio, demostrando que James Earl Ray no tenía nada que ver con el asesinato.

Dear Albert

Congratulations on the successful conclusion of the court case against USG! You and Victor and Alla must surely be proud!!!! After all, according to Alla BOUT, “25 years Victor received was a victory!” He will be 70 when Victor gets out. Go, Albert, what a victory!!! Congratulations, again. Boy, you surely showed them what a crack lawyer could do in the court of law. I carefully listened to interviews and statements you made to the press. Every time you opened your mouth, sounds escaped, but I realised they made no sense.

This case only goes to show that the stupidest and most incompetent lawyer in America (I mean you, Albert, in case you are wondering who I might be referring to) can win a lottery and be a lawyer in the most important case of the decade.

In my previous post to you, two months ago, I said that the only job you were qualified for is selling tickets in a zoo. Today, I stand by that assessment.

Empieza el juicio contra Victor Bout. Ya lo dije hace dos años, este juicio está perdido antes de empezar. Sin embargo, el gobierno estadounidense tiene mucho de qué preocuparse. Para empezar, somos varios los que hemos estado desde el principio en Tailandia haciendo todo humanamente posible para salvaguardar la libertad de Bout.

Cuando el mutante del abogado de Victor pierda el juicio, entonces Dimitri Khalezov y yo nos ocuparemos de poner en marcha el verdadero “equipo A”. Gobierno de Obama, la DEA y sus acólitos deberían entender que las verdades y mentiras tienen poco que ver en los tribunales. Más bien se trata de pruebas verificables y, de estas, hay muy pero que muy pocas.

Bout case is up and running. Yesterday and today, jury selection. No matter whom they choose, this case is lost, as I predicted two years ago. Bout will have to wait for the appeal´s court to decide his fate. In case you are wondering, no document exists outside of the Johan Peleman United Nations report that shows for BOUT=ARMS TRADE. Tere are a few documents that show a somewhat questionable activity at most. You see, you don´t have to believe me or Bout. There are no truths and lies in the court of law, only verifiable evidence. DEA and USG, you have some insurmountable mountains to climb if you are to win this case. Trust me. I know more about this than anybody else in the world. When all is said and done, Bout walks. You can take it to the bank, that is if you can find one bank in your rotten country still worthy of its name. I leave with my first RT interview regarding Victor Bout´s trial taking place in NY City.

Rigged trial a final step toward bars for Bout?

The trial of Russian businessmen Viktor Bout, an alleged international arms dealer who stands accused of trafficking weapons to terrorists, has started in New York. But Bout’s family as well as experts doubt the trial will be fair.

The trial in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York has begun with the selection of a jury of 12. They had to sign a pledge that they would not, in order to avoid bias, research the case online or in the media.

The US government has charged Bout with four charges. Conspiring to kill American nationals, conspiring to kill American officers and employees, conspiring to use and acquire anti-aircraft missiles, and conspiring to provide material support to the FARC rebels in Colombia.

He was arrested in Thailand in 2008 on similar charges at the request of American officials, and was then extradited to the US in November 2010.

According to the US, he was one of the world’s most active black-market arms traders.

Bout has pleaded not guilty. He says he was engaged only in legal sales in the aircraft and shipping industries. The US allegations that Bout conspired to kill American citizens are based on statements Bout allegedly made to undercover operatives during the Bangkok meeting. The operatives posed as members of a rebel group from Colombia that was considered by the US to be a terrorist organization. The conversation between them was recorded.

If he is found guilty, Bout could face life in prison.

In August the case has sustained a serious blow when Shira Scheindlin, a judge for the Southern District of New York, ruled that statements Bout made before his arrival in the US be suppressed.

She said the testimony from the first interrogation cannot be taken into account by the court because Thai police allowed serious procedural violations when they did not allow Bout to meet his defense lawyer.

This case has also caused a political row between Russia and the US.
Russia believes the US managed to extradite Bout from Thailand by putting unprecedented political pressured on the Thai judicial authorities.

Bout will not get a fair trial, warned investigative journalist Daniel Estulin.

“How can Bout get a fair trial when the United States has done everything in its power to bring him to the United States after two years in Thailand – and then they put him on trial in the United States only to have Bout win and embarrass the United States?”, Estulin told RT. “Obviously he is not going to get a fair trial.”

But if he does lose the case, Estulin added, Bout will certainly appeal.

“There is a tremendous amount of evidence, especially in Thailand,which basically shows Viktor Bout is not a ‘Merchant of Death’ and actually has nothing to do with the arms trade,” Estulin claimed.
