Empieza el juicio contra Victor Bout. Ya lo dije hace dos años, este juicio está perdido antes de empezar. Sin embargo, el gobierno estadounidense tiene mucho de qué preocuparse. Para empezar, somos varios los que hemos estado desde el principio en Tailandia haciendo todo humanamente posible para salvaguardar la libertad de Bout.
Cuando el mutante del abogado de Victor pierda el juicio, entonces Dimitri Khalezov y yo nos ocuparemos de poner en marcha el verdadero “equipo A”. Gobierno de Obama, la DEA y sus acólitos deberían entender que las verdades y mentiras tienen poco que ver en los tribunales. Más bien se trata de pruebas verificables y, de estas, hay muy pero que muy pocas.

Bout case is up and running. Yesterday and today, jury selection. No matter whom they choose, this case is lost, as I predicted two years ago. You can take it to the bank, that is if you can find one bank in your rotten country still worthy of its name. Rigged trial a final step toward bars for Bout?
The trial of Russian businessmen Viktor Bout, an alleged international arms dealer who stands accused of trafficking weapons to terrorists, has started in New York. But Bout’s family as well as experts doubt the trial will be fair.
The trial in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York has begun with the selection of a jury of 12. They had to sign a pledge that they would not, in order to avoid bias, research the case online or in the media.
The US government has charged Bout with four charges. Conspiring to kill American nationals, conspiring to kill American officers and employees, conspiring to use and acquire anti-aircraft missiles, and conspiring to provide material support to the FARC rebels in Colombia.
He was arrested in Thailand in 2008 on similar charges at the request of American officials, and was then extradited to the US in November 2010.
According to the US, he was one of the world’s most active black-market arms traders.
Bout has pleaded not guilty. He says he was engaged only in legal sales in the aircraft and shipping industries. The US allegations that Bout conspired to kill American citizens are based on statements Bout allegedly made to undercover operatives during the Bangkok meeting. The operatives posed as members of a rebel group from Colombia that was considered by the US to be a terrorist organization. The conversation between them was recorded.
If he is found guilty, Bout could face life in prison.
In August the case has sustained a serious blow when Shira Scheindlin, a judge for the Southern District of New York, ruled that statements Bout made before his arrival in the US be suppressed.
She said the testimony from the first interrogation cannot be taken into account by the court because Thai police allowed serious procedural violations when they did not allow Bout to meet his defense lawyer.
This case has also caused a political row between Russia and the US.
Russia believes the US managed to extradite Bout from Thailand by putting unprecedented political pressured on the Thai judicial authorities.
Bout will not get a fair trial, warned investigative journalist Daniel Estulin.
“How can Bout get a fair trial when the United States has done everything in its power to bring him to the United States after two years in Thailand – and then they put him on trial in the United States only to have Bout win and embarrass the United States?”, Estulin told RT. “Obviously he is not going to get a fair trial.”
But if he does lose the case, Estulin added, Bout will certainly appeal.
“There is a tremendous amount of evidence, especially in Thailand,which basically shows Viktor Bout is not a ‘Merchant of Death’ and actually has nothing to do with the arms trade,” Estulin claimed.

daniel he observado que en tu libro imperio invisible dedicas una extensa parte del mismo a la investigacion de victor bout ¿ es cierto que en algunos momentos crees que es culpable de todos o ciertos crimenes de los que se le acusa y en otros llegas a dudar incluso de que haya sido culpable en tan solo uno de los delitos? al terminar de leerme el libro no me quedo suficientemente claro si es culpable o es inocente,o si es culpable de algunos o de tan solo de una porcion de los crimenes de los que se le acusa?.teniendo en cuenta que el trafico de armas ( como bien mencionas en tu libro) no es una de las actividades que proporcionan al poder en la sombra una gran cantidad de ingresos netos , eso lo es la droga como bien lo afirmas, ( dejando al margen los numerosos impuestos que absorven de cada ciudadano) yo personalmente creo que bout no es traficante de armas,sino que se trata de alguien a quien han utilizado como tapadera para esconder los trapos sucios ( y no seria la primera vez a lo largo de la historia que lo hacen) creo que victor es inocente y que tubo la mala suerte de sin saberlo ( al menos al principio) ser elegido para cumplir tan funesta mision debido a los contactos que tenia y a las personas con las cuales guardaba relacion por la empresa de aviones de transporte que posee ( no me acuerdo bien si era una empresa de aviones,que alguien me lo aclare,perdon sin me equivoco) alguien me puede aclarar las cosas sobre este asunto.agradeceria respuesta debido a que estoy bastante confuso respecto al tema de victo bout,malo o bueno?
Bout es TOTALMENTE INOCENTE en los siguientes cargos:
-Tráfico de armas.
-Tráfico de uranio enriquecido.
-Venta de misiles X-55 a Irán.
-Venta del misil Granit que impactó contra el Pentágono el 11/9/2001.

El caso de Victor Bout es semejante al de los 5 ANTI-terroristas Cubanos. Fueron juzgados en tierra hostil, criminados injustificadamente, sentenciados inhumanamente. A ellos se los acusa y se los calla, para tapar toda la bazofia estadounidense contra la isla de Cuba. Fuerza en el apoyo a tu compatriota y si puedes, escribe algo sobre el caso de los 5. (René González Sehwerert, Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, Fernando González Llort, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, Ramón Labañino Salazar)
Yo sí me leí El IMPERIO INVISIBLE y a mí sí me quedó claro que no se habían encontrado pruebas que justificasen de qué se le acusaba. Hay algo que no entendí muy bien: Los propios estados incluso USA lo contrataban para transportar sus tropas y sus armas, y después lo acusaban de esto mismo. Por lo que entendí en el libro Bout estaba muy confiado de que su gobierno (El ruso) lo iba a defender, pero lo dejaron tirado: Vaya Estado protector…(MEnos mal que no soy rusa)
Lamentablemente parece que hay un gran interés en hallar un culpable de todos los males del mundo, mientras se desvía la atención de los verdaderos culpables y de los verdaderos traficantes. Los norteamericanos no son tan tontos como a veces parece desde fuera. Yo confío que entre 12 personas se encuentre alguien que forje su verecicto en base a las pruebas, y si no hay pruebas no se condene a un inocente. Además Rusia debería defender a sus habitantes.
Ruego a todos mucha atención, Daniel Estulin necesita mucha ayuda, nosotros estamos con él ¿verdad?, que sepa Daniel Estulin que puede contar conmigo, además le estoy muy agradecida por todo lo que nos cuenta, es para mi un honor tenerle entre nosotros, es para mi una ráfaga de aire fresco y honorale; sí, donde se ha mentido, robado, matado, corrompido … él nos demuestra que no ha perdido sus valores más fuertes.
